As an intern at Pacific Publishing, I learned more about the intersection of design and contemporary art. I helped Pacific Publishing develop a social media identity, starting with their Instagram. In each post, it was essential to express who Pacific was, but also appropriately convey the content.
One project I focused on was Pacific's Instagram story template. Every so often, Pacific shares event details or announcements. I wanted to create a story template that felt on brand.
When creating the template, another goal I had in mind was consistency. On the left side of each slide, I kept the same information. I also added a vertical line for structure, and to tie the top and the bottom of each slide together. Clicking through the story to find out more information provides an interactive element.

Another project I worked on for Pacific was the Instagram highlight tiles. Again, I wanted to speak to Pacific's identity in the design of the tiles. Pacific tends to use a lot of black and white in the projects. For the tiles I wanted to use something more graphic than what was previously used.
I chose to use images from books that Pacific had published. I found images that I thought spoke to each category: Releases, Events, Books, Studio, Friends, and fit well together.
