As an intern at Hyperakt, I learned a lot about developing brand identities and creating print and digital collateral. Many Hyperakt clients were concerned about social causes or changes.
One client I worked with was WeWork. WeWork wanted to create a website with the Aspen Institute about the three major trends that would define the workplace in the 21st century. These three trends were: urbanization, a technological revolution poised to disrupt millions of jobs, and climate change that poses an imminent threat.
I created a set of ten icons to further illustrate these trends. It was imperative that I used the WeWork color palette. The goal was to create the icons using basic geometric shapes. We went through many iterations. Below, I have shown three different sets. They vary in terms of line work, overlays, and abstract versus literal representation.

Here are some variations of the icons in the context of the website that they would be used on.
